Toyota 1GR FE is a V6 engine that has an aluminum block with Dual-overhead cams on the Cylinder heads. Injection varies from D4 direct injection to multi-port injection. Their website www.alltoyotaengines.com claims to sell a rebuilt 1GR engine with new piston rings, main and rod bearings, valves and machined head and block for an average price of $2200 for 2002-2006 model. Most Salvage yard engines are not tested and they end up having a lot of sludge in it therefore buying a Rebuilt 1GR FE would be the best option.
Right now the best option would be to buy a Remanufactured Toyota 1GR FE engine for Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner & FJ Cruiser from Engine World Inc in Houston, Texas. Engine World Inc is the largest importer of used Toyota Engines in USA.
