Greensburg Plasma: Plasma and LCD Television

by | Jan 2, 2014 | Electronics and Electrical

A Greensburg Plasma TV is an HDTV (high definition television). It is an alternative option to the standard cathode ray televisions that you would also find sold on the market today. One of the reasons why so many people are drawn to Greensburg Plasma televisions is the fact that they radiate such bold colors and sharp pictures. A plasma television will usually have a 16:9 width ratio for wide screen movies. This can be compared to the 4:3 ratio that the standard televisions have. If you want a plasma television, you are going to have to put your money where your mouth is. This is not a television that comes cheap. In fact, you can expect to pay a couple thousand dollars for a quality plasma television.

One of what most people would consider to be the selling points of a plasma television is the fact that it has a flat screen. This gives you the option to mount the TV on your wall which will open up a lot of space in the room that the TV is going in. The option to mount it on the wall is also great if you have children or animals. You do not have to worry about them touching the screen or knocking the television over.

When it comes to buying televisions there will always be a heated debate regarding whether you should buy an LCD TV or a plasma TV. Generally, an LCD TV is going to be a great deal cheaper. Which television will best suit your needs really comes down to what kind of stuff you like to watch. LCD televisions do provide sharp images, but action packed shows and movies are not handled well by LCD televisions.

If you are looking to save money on your electricity bill, you should know that an LCD TV will always use more power than a plasma does. In fact, plasma televisions have been known to use three times as much power and wattage as an LCD TV that is the exact same size screen. If you watch television all day and not, you might not want a plasma television eating up your light bill. Follow on twitter!
