Improving Off-Road Capabilities
When you purchase a Jeep sport utility vehicle from a dealer, you will already get tremendous off-road features. Most Trail Rated models are available with patented 4×4 drive systems that have several driving modes for off-roading. You can add the JK adjustable track bar to further boost the off-road skills of your particular model. Such a package includes control arms with fixed lengths to match existing hardware on your car’s suspension system. If you’d like to make a styling statement on the trails, choose the JK adjustable track bar in a custom color. For example, some bars are available in green, orange, yellow and other eye-catching paints. A powder-coated application protects the hardware from corrosion or other weather-related damage. After all, your Trail Rated SUV will be exposed to harsh terrains, including rocks, mud and gravel.
Why Install Track Bars on Jeep Models?
If you drive a Jeep model, you will notice several important factory-installed items. The original track bars connect the suspension system in a proper configuration. However, you will need to add the JK adjustable track bar after lifting the chassis. If you install a lift kit, you must add a compatible track bar in order to compensate for the new geometry in the entire body. Your Trail Rated SUV will have a new center of gravity and center of mass after successful installations of custom lift parts. The custom links must be fully adjusted based on the new configuration of the front suspension system.
